A Letter to the International Space Station

Author’s full name: Andrey  Mandrov
Project name: A Letter to the International Space Station
Annotation to the project: Perhaps, many thousands of years ago, looking at the night sky, a man dreamed of flying to the stars. Myriads of twinkling night lights made him straying in the vastness of the universe, awakened imagination, forced to ponder the mysteries of the universe. Centuries passed, people became more and more powerful over nature, but the dream of flying to the stars remained just as elusive, as thousands of years ago. Now everything is possible. I dream to go to space, I will succeed.

Hello, dear astronauts!
My name is Andrew Mandrov. I am a student from Barnaul, Altai Krai. I study in Class 6 MBOU “Gymnasium № 45″.
I could not make a decision about my future profession, like many boys of primary school age. When asked by adults “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I just shrugged.
But a miracle happened! In 2011, I was fortunate enough to become the All-Russian competition of artistic creativity “Space in the Eyes of Youth”’s winner. This competition was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Yuri Gagarin’s space flight. The reward was a trip to Moscow.
In the 2012-2013 year, I was offered to represent Russia at the international competition «Humans in Space». I decided to try my hand. I was again successful – I got the diploma in the nomination “Recognition”. These events changed my life. I realized that my future will be for sure connected with the space or I may even become an astronaut. This takes knowledge and good health. To achieve my goal I don’t waste the time. I play sports, read a lot, I watch programs about space and its conquerors. I am proud of your deed! I understand that you have learned a lot, trained much to benefit our country now. After all, with your help, the uniqueness of our planet reveals. I am sure that very soon the way to new worlds where there is no war, anger and envy will be opened. New life will be a good example to everybody. Our planet will turn into a blooming garden with people who have the best human qualities.
Dear explorers of space expanses, I wish you health, success in your hard work and a safe journey home.
We are waiting for you!
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Mandrov
