Life On Other Planets
LIFE:
Life is a characteristic distinguishing physical entities having biological processes (such as signaling and self-sustaining processes) from those that do not,either because such functions have ceased (death), or because they lack such functions and are classified as inanimate.Various forms of life exist such as plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea, and bacteria. The criteria can at times be ambiguous and may or may not define viruses, viroids or potential artificial life as living. Biology is the primary science concerned with the study of life, although many other sciences are involved.

Life is a self-bounded system where the boundary is made by the material in the system. It is a process involving the production and maintenance of identity.” – Lynn Margulis
LIFE ON EARTH:
Perhaps 3.8 billion years ago, life appeared on Earth. The scientific study of how this happened constitutes the field of exobiology. Either life originated on Earth or it came here from elsewhere. The latter hypothesis is called panspermia, especially in the case of “seeds of life” permeating the universe. To exobiologists, this is simply transposing the event to another location. The problem is still the origin of life, here or elsewhere. The chemistry (carbon-based, using the same amino acids and replication techniques) and other factors such as the “handedness” of life’s molecules strongly suggests that all surviving life originated from a single parent replicating molecule. And thus chemistry (C,H,O,N) became biology on early earth.
CHANCES OF HAVING LIFE IN OTHER PLANETS:
We know that some planets with one or two stars make a solar system.We have our solar system with sun.Many solar systems,black holes form a galaxy.Till now we know that our universe is consist of hundreds of thousands galaxies.Scientists assume that our galaxy(Milky Way) consist of 200 billion stars.It means, there must me somewhere some planets which have same size, same distance from its star, as like earth from the sun.If so, those planets must contain liquid water.Which is necessary for life.It means only in the Milky Way,there must be many planets which may contain life.And in the entire universe,there must be life.
TYPES OF LIFE WHICH CAN BE IN SPACE:
We know only a few forms of life.May be there are many forms of life in space,such as:
1.LIFE WHICH DEPENDS ON WATER
We know that life on earth depends on water,even it originates firstly in water.If life can originate only from water, there are many chances of having life outside of our planet.Our galaxy (Milky way) contains 200 billion stars. Among them,there should be some stars which is like our sun.Among their planets there must be some planets which are like our planet,which contains liquid water.Then,may be we can find life in our galaxy,which is depended on water.We were talking about our galaxy.We should not forget that our universe is consist of hundreds of thousands galaxies.So, it has possibility that there are numerous places where there are lives : “Dependent on Water” .
2.LIFE WHICH DOES NOT DEPEND ON WATER
We have knowledge about life. But may be there are many forms of life in space,which can survive without water.Who knows(!); May be they live on a planet where there are no carbon,no nitrogen,no oxygen.The unit of their life is not amino acid rather something else with which we are not familiar to.
3.LIFE IN THE PARALLEL UNIVERSES
We are familiar with a theory called ‘The Theory of Parallel Universes’ of quantum mechanics. According to the theory there must be somewhere a world which is mirror view of our’s world. According to this theory there must be someone like you and me.So there are great percents of chance of having lives in the universe.
4.LIFE IN MULTIVERSE
The ‘BIG BANG’ theory of “Stephen Hawking” tells us about the origin of our universe.But it could’nt be the answer of some questions, like:
1.why Big Bang took place ?
2.How it happened ?
3.What was before the bang? and so on…
Now there is a theory named ‘Theory of Multiverse’ which can answer those questions precisely. According to this theory,our universe is a part of the huge huge multiverse.Multiverse is consist of many universes like as our’s.For example soap bubbles in a bucket, where every bubble represents one universe.From this theory we can imagine that Big Bang started from fusion of two or more universe or fission of one universe into smaller universes.If this theory is a fact then no doubt ,there are lives in numerous places in the Multiverse.
5.LIFE BEYOND OUR THINKING
We are living on earth.The age of our solar system is approximately 5 billion years and it is smaller than a point in size in compare with our entire universe.May be our thinking is not that level by which we can think about every forms of life in the universe.May be there are some kind of life in space, about which we can even never and ever dream.
TYPES OF CIVILIZATION IN SPACE:
According to Michio Kaku a Japanese-American futurist,theoretical physicist there can be 3 types of civilization in space.They are:
TYPE 1 (PLANETARY CIVILIZATION):
They have the power of an entire planet,they control the weather,they control volcanoes,they control earthquakes,they can control everything on their planet.
TYPE 2 :
They control the output of a star.They play with the stars.They are immortal.Nothing can destroy the TYPE 2 civilization.Commets,meteoroids,even the death of their sun is not a problem.They can either move their planet or simply find a new star in space.
TYPE 3(GALACTIC CIVILIZATION):
It is a galactic civilization.They can control the enrgy output of an entire galaxy.They can play with the black holes.They will be able to control Planck energy, at that energy space-time become unstable.So they might be able to manipulate space-time,parhaps using higher dimensional physics.They are hundreds of thousands years ahead of us.
TYPE 0:
Then what about us! We can tell that,we are a TYPE 0 civilization.Because we do not know how to cope with earthquakes,natural disasters.Even we are not able to make food ourselves.We are totally depended on plants and animals.
CONCLUSION:
We do not know surely, if there is life in space or not.But we must find a place where mankind will start a new world because our sun is getting old.In a few billion years, the sun will become a red giant so large that it will engulf our planet. But the Earth will become uninhabitable much sooner than that. After about a billion years the sun will become hot enough to boil our oceans.If we fail to find out another planet like earth and fail to migrate into it, mankind will be extinct forever.No one will be aware about mankind.So we must find life in space for our benefit.
I would dream that one day human being will anchor in an another planet when our green earth will not be suitable for habitation.Then they will migrate to another planets.And every where in the universe there will be human being.They will conquer the whole universe.May be it will take billion years and too much effort .But one day this dream will come true.I see this day from now.I will not be there,but our descendants will do this. I Am Wating For My Dream Come True… I Am Waiting For That Day………
